
Shivam Anil Patare is a star in the Indian kabaddi circuit from Maharashtra. In 2025, he will turn 22. From a family that has sports in the blood, Shivam was inspired by his father, who had played kabaddi at the university level and also served as a physical training teacher. It was this early introduction to sports that motivated Shivam to take to kabaddi from a very young age. Also, his first coach was his father, who gave him the basic foundations of the game.
Education and Personal Interests
Along with his sports career, Shivam is enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. program at university. While in his 2nd year of college, also which we are aware that he is very busy with his practice schedules; still, he does a great job of balancing academics as well as his professional growth. Out of Kabaddi, he also plays Cricket, and follows it very closely also this has an impact that it has on his health and improves his general physical skills, which in turn also helps in his sports career.
Physical Profile and Playing Style
Shivam is 5’9” (1.75 m) in height and weighs in at around 65 kg. He has a lean but powerful frame, which makes him a great fit for Left Raider, a position that requires quick reflexes, sharp movement, and the outwitting of defenders. What Shivam brings to the table is smart raiding, bonus point picks and super raids, which have very quickly got him recognised by kabaddi fans.

Career Journey and Achievements
Shivam began his journey in the world of kabaddi at a very young age when he started to take part in tournaments, which included those of his school and then his district. His big break came at the Khelo India Youth Games, where he won bronze in back-to-back years, 2020 and 2022. Also, he went on to win gold at the Maharashtra State Junior Kabaddi Championship and represented his state in the Junior National Championship.
In 2023, Shivam did what it took to get into the Yuva Kabaddi Series, which he did very well in; he was a main player for his team and also put out his raiding skills. Also, he played for the franchise in Season 11, which only added to his reputation as a reliable raider.
By 2025, Shivam had played in 47 PKL games, which saw him score over 280 points from the raid, which also included 9 Super 10s and 6 Super Raids to his name. Also, his defence leaves much to be desired, but what he brings to the table attack-wise is very reliable for his team.
Future Aspirations
Shivam has a team of dedicated coaches and mentors who have been key in developing his skills. As he gains more experience and shows great determination, his goal is to represent India at the international level of Kabaddi.
