Early Life and Background

Nahid Rana was born on October 2, 2002, in Chapai Nawabgonj, Bangladesh. He was just a little boy when cricket became his passion. His restrictions were in a small town where he practiced his bowling skills in the local fields, and then he got into the domestic circuit. His height of 6 feet 3 inches (1.90 m) gives him an advantage, and his athletic physique is a plus for being a fast bowler.
Rana got his Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC), and then he switched to cricket as a full-time career. The family support was always there, and he is still naming his first coaches as the ones who made him.

He made his first-class debut on October 31, 2021, against Barisal Division at Cox’s Bazar. His raw pace immediately drew attention, and he soon claimed his first five-wicket haul in the 2022–23 season, proving his potential as a strike bowler.
He made his T20 debut on January 24, 2023, for Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), facing the Dhaka Dominators at Mirpur. His impressive performances there earned him a spot in the List A side, debuting on March 21, 2023, in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League for Prime Bank Cricket Club.

Later that year, on November 11, 2024, he made his ODI debut against Afghanistan at Sharjah.
While he has yet to feature in T20 Internationals, his performances suggest it’s only a matter of time.
